Types of Standards

There are two types of Standards : 
a.External Standards.
b.Internal Standards.

External Standards:
These standards are defined by entities other than the organization.

There are three types of External Standards:

1.International Standards:
These standards are globally defines and applicable to all.

2.National Standards:
These standards are defined by regulatory authorities.These standards are applicable to both producer and customers who reside in that specific country.

3.Customer Standards:
These standards are defined by the customers considering their business requirement.

Internal Standards:
These standards are developed by the organization for their internal purpose only.
These standards  mainly provides consistency and simplifies communication.

What is Exit Criteria for Testing?

The most important decision for the testing team is when to stop the testing activity.It depends upon different criteria depending upon the domain and project type.It is the set of conditions that should be met in order to stop the testing process.

The different conditions for Exit Criteria are :

1.When the deadlines are met.
2.When the testing budget is over.
3. No high severity bugs are left.
4.When all business requirements are met.
5.When the testing schedule is finished.
6. Bug rate falls below certain level.
7. After successful execution of test cases.
8. 100 % requirement coverage is achieved.
