Selecting a Testing Tool
Before introducing a tool in an organization it is important to verify the current testing practices and if they are not good enough it is recommended to improve the testing practices first as using a testing tool with poor testing practices will lead to further chaos.
The important factors to be considered during tool selection for automation testing are :
1. Assessment of an organization maturity.
2. Budget of an organization.
3. Integration of the tool with current tools in organization
4. Identifying key areas where tool support use will improve the quality of testing process.
5. Vendor evaluation.
6. Proof of concept to check whether product works as expected.
7..Evaluating tools against requirements.
